Mulch Mayhem
Free Mulch for Your Yard: Save Water and Beautify Your Landscape
Get free, water-saving mulch at the Mulch Mayhem event on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 8 a.m. to noon. The event will be held at Sierra College, Overflow Parking Lot, located at the corner of Rocklin Rd. and El Don Dr. in Rocklin (opposite the campus).
Mulch is an easy way to save water and improve your yard. When you spread two to three inches of mulch around plants and four to six inches around trees, you can save up to 30 gallons of water for every 1,000 square feet. Mulch also keeps soil cool, controls weeds, and adds nutrients to help plants grow better.
