PCWA Asks Raw Water Customers for Voluntary Conservation Due to PG&E Water Delivery Problem

PCWA is currently facing a water delivery issue from PG&E due to infrastructure problems, and is asking raw water customers to voluntarily reduce or suspend their summer water deliveries. Damages at a PG&E facility disrupt water supply from Lake Spaulding, affecting PCWA's ability to provide water to raw water customers. The agency seeks cooperation from customers now, during the cooler months, to help mitigate the impact before the warmer months arrive. Read more...

PCWA Makes Progress Toward Consolidation of Shady Glen’s Water System

PCWA Board of Directors has voted to move ahead with a $4.5 million funding agreement to help consolidate the Shady Glen Community Water System into PCWA’s Colfax water system. PCWA has applied for grant funding from the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) and has received preliminary approval. If granted, this project will benefit 200 residents in the Shady Glen community by connecting them to PCWA water supplies. Read more...

New Survey Finds PCWA Water Quality Remains Among the Best in America

A recent independent survey conducted by Starr Consulting confirms that the water quality in Placer County Water Agency's (PCWA) American River watershed remains excellent despite concerns stemming from recent forest fires and subsequent erosion of ash and sediment. New Water Pipeline Will Bring Treated Water To 48 Homes West of Auburn, Improve Water Delivery and Quality

PCWA Board of Directors approved the environmental phase to construct a 1.5-mile treated water pipeline, benefiting 48 homes in the rural Duncan Hill area, west of Auburn. With an estimated cost of $10.6 million, the project aims to improve water delivery and quality, connecting two of PCWA’s largest water systems and eliminating dead-end pipelines. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PLACER COUNTY WATER AGENCY TO EXECUTE A MASTER SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH VEOLIA SUSTAINABLE BUILDINGS USA WEST, INC., FOR THE FERGUSON CAMPUS SOLAR PROJECT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Placer County Water Agency (PCWA) Board of Directors shall hold a public hearing on May 16, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the regularly scheduled meeting of the PCWA Board of Directors, which will be held at its Business Center, for the purposes of presenting certain findings, taking public comment, and considering approving a Resolution adopting the findings and approving a Masters Services Agreement with Veolia Sustainable Buildings USA West, Inc. for the implementation of the Ferguson Campus Solar Project, which include certain energy related improvements to PCWA facilities in accordance with California Government Code Section 4217.10 to 4217.18. The Energy Services Contract shall require that the cost to PCWA to implement the energy related improvements will be less than the anticipated marginal cost to PCWA of thermal, electrical, or other energy that would have been consumed by PCWA in absence of purchasing the energy improvements. The Business Center is located at 144 Ferguson Road, Auburn, CA, 95603.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Placer County Water Agency (PCWA) Board of Directors shall hold a public hearing on May 16, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the regularly scheduled meeting of the PCWA Board of Directors, which will be held at its Business Center, for the purposes of taking public comment, considering a Resolution that adopts findings, and approves a Loan Agreement and related necessary loan documents with California Energy Resources Conservation and Development Commission to fund the implementation of the Ferguson Campus Solar Project, which include certain energy conservation improvements to PCWA facilities in accordance with California Government Code Section 4217.10 to 4217.18. The Business Center is located at 144 Ferguson Road, Auburn, CA, 95603.
